From his beginnings in 1992 with Hip-hop & Breakdance, inspiring countless young dancers, to embracing Salsa & Bachata in 2008, Deepwell’s path has always been about rhythm, connection, and joy. In 2009, a simple YouTube demo introduced him to Zouk — a turning point that reshaped his artistic journey forever.
By 2011, he founded HeartZouk Dance, the home of Vietnam’s Zouk community, where he continues to teach with an emphasis on listening, emotion, and shared artistry. His vision has carried him across Asia, Australia, and Europe, bridging Vietnamese Zouk with the global dance scene.
Beyond teaching, Deepwell is also a DJ whose music radiates warmth and energy, creating unforgettable moments on the dance floor. And every October, he brings dancers together at the Heart Zouk Marathon & Retreat — a celebration of music, community, and Vietnamese culture.
Deepwell Zouk is more than a dancer — he is a connector, a teacher, and a heartbeat of Zouk in Vietnam.

China began his dance career at Jaime Aroxa’s dance academy in 1994, at 16 years old. He started in Samba de Gafieira, going through several dance styles until he settled in zouk dance.
Through ten years he developed a particular dancing manner and, after winning the trophy ‘years best’ in the zouk category in Rio de Janeiro in 2004, China started to teach the dance in 2005 until now.
He went as teacher and guest in dozens congress and workshops in Brazil and all over the world and along with his best students he still improve the Soulzouk’s methodology and techniques
Soulzouk was created in 2003 after I, China, got upset every time I went to Zouk’s party and people said I didn’t dance zouk, so I ended up giving the name to the way I danced at the time of SOULZOUK. Soulzouk was the first style of the new generation, after it came the new styles like Neo, Flow, Revolution, Black, among others.

Throughout their career, they have won numerous Jack and Jill competitions (currently in the Advanced division), including taking 1st and 2nd place in the Brazilian Zouk World Championships, and got featured in the Hollywood production of the movie Fences.
Fae has a rich dance background in classical ballet, modern, contemporary, and commercial jazz, as well as hip hop and heels choreographies. She is also an All-Star west coast swing dancer.
Bruno is trained in hip hop, salsa, kizomba, and of course, Brazilian zouk. He has been on the social dance scene of his hometown Braga, Portugal, since he was 14 years old.
Together, Bruno and Fae are one of the highest-ranking Brazilian zouk couples in the US, expanding into the international scene as dancers, instructors, performers, choreographers, and BZDC-certified judges for Brazilian Zouk competitions.
Bruno and Fae are also the directors of the Elevation Zouk Festival in Denver, CO, and the Sunset Zouk Marathon in Orlando, FL, along with smaller events and classes in Central Florida.

As a pioneer of the Brazilian Zouk scene in Singapore, she has played a pivotal role in shaping some of the most prominent Brazilian Zouk dancers in the region.
Possessing a unique perspective on leading and following (as she adeptly dances both roles), Jean has embarked on global travels to share her philosophy of Brazilian Zouk at numerous prestigious festivals.

Since 2010, she has been invited to DJ at some of the biggest festivals in Europe and Australia, and most recently at the Brazilian Dance Festival in Amsterdam
She delights in sharing her remixes and curating a diverse range of music to captivate the dance crowd. Get ready to groove to her electrifying music sets and dance the night away!

He started dance photography/videography in 2018 as Sloat Media. After joining TLDA with Mandy and Calvin, he eventually opened a new dance studio called Flow Taipei in 2021. He has taught Brazilian Zouk since 2020 with Mandy, Vanessa, Ting, and Fan, and started DJing in 2021 after learning with DJ Siix.

After organizing various weekenders, he and his team from Flow, Wan Yu and Tyra, hosted very successful Taiwan Zouk Festivals since 2024. He continues working to grow the social dance community, particularly Brazilian Zouk, in Taiwan and around Asia.

We are beyond excited to welcome back our talented DJ STEF! His incredible music sets were one of the highlights of last year’s event, and so many people fell in love with the energy and atmosphere he created.

DJ Stef uses samples from house music, to trip hop, R&B to release the best remixes we’ve heard in years. His love for lambada ties into his passion of producing beats to create the creamiest of tracks and sets to move to.
